Hermes AIOrchestration

A small team of AI bots: a main orchestrator takes the task, an HR bot decides who does it, and task-specific bots do the work.

How it works

Illustration: the bot names and log lines are made up. A task goes from the orchestrator to the HR bot, out to one task bot, and back.
  1. 01A task comes in. One front door: every task goes to the main orchestrator.
  2. 02The orchestrator takes it. Instead of doing everything itself, it hands the task on.
  3. 03The HR bot picks a bot. Like a lead handing out tickets, it assigns the task to the right task bot.
  4. 04The work comes back. The result returns through the orchestrator, to the same place it was asked.

01Problem

Getting several AI bots to split work instead of one bot doing everything.

02My role

I designed the setup and I run it: the orchestrator, the HR bot and the task bots, and the local model behind them.

03Approach

  1. One front door.A main orchestrator takes every task, so there's one place to ask and one place the answer comes back to.
  2. An HR bot does the hiring.Instead of the orchestrator doing everything, an HR bot decides which task bot should take the work, the way a lead hands out tickets.
  3. Bots that do one job. Each task bot is set up for a specific kind of work.
  4. A model I run myself.Qwen3.8-27B runs locally on my own PC.

04Result

A working chain: the orchestrator hands work to the HR bot, the HR bot hands it to a task bot, and the result comes back. Hermes also runs on my home lab.
